Classroom Code of Conduct
We are all guests in the training room. In an effort to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
- Respect people’s choices, experiences and feelings.
- Only one person should speak at a time.
- Participate actively by including your voice. Make space for other voices to be heard.
- Respect confidentiality: what is said in the group, stays in the group. Speak in private with the instructor if necessary.
- Assume the best intent. This is a space to learn and sometimes that means making mistakes.
- Take care of yourself, whatever that may look like.
- Mute your microphone to reduce background noise and unmute it for group discussions, to comment or ask questions.
At Our Virtual Workshops
At our virtual workshop, make sure you find a safe and comfortable place to learn, such as your home or work. Please understand that your instructor and fellow students are also working out of home/work spaces, and may be sharing that space with others. Our virtual workshops are an opportunity for us to connect and learn from each other.
Workshop slides are copyrighted material and intellectual property that belongs to WCCRC; these are NOT shared with participants. Please do not take any screenshots, but feel free to take notes in your workbook. All material is also available in the Westcoast Administration & Management Knowledge Base, which is available through 3-month and 1-year subscriptions.
In keeping with our eco-conscious goal of reducing paper use, any handouts will be sent by email. In this way, participants can save and view these resources across various devices, and can share or print them any time.
Sessions are never recorded.
