Continuing the Journey
We are happy you have joined us for part three of the Connections series.
This course, Connections III: Holistic Assessment in Early Learning, builds on the material introduced in Connections II and is the final course in the Connections suite of courses.
In this course we will focus our attention on the inclusion of family as central to strength-based assessment practice. We will also look at holistic and focused assessment practices, and the importance of a collaborative approach to assessment in early learning.
As in the previous course, the learning for Connections III is structured in modules that cover distinct topics. We invite you to work at your own pace, and encourage you to complete one module a week if possible, We know your lives are busy, and that some people may need a bit longer to complete a module.
Learning Outcomes of Connections Course Part Three: Holistic Assessment in Early Learning:
- Practice key strategies to help build and maintain relationships with families
- Practice implementing evidence-based documentation
- Distinguish between holistic and focused assessments
- Use evidence-based documentation to inform planning decisions
- Determine processes and compare strengths of assessment portfolios
