Financial Management, Enrollment & Attendance – Instructor-Led (Administration & Management for Child Care)
Strong, effective financial management, as well as solid enrollment & attendance practices, are critical for all child care organizations.
This 6-hour course covers the basics of financial management, including financial planning, bookkeeping and reporting. It also dives into Enrollment & Attendance, outlining best practices to ensure you serve the needs of your families and community. We include guidelines on creating effective policies & procedures, helping you directly apply the learnings to your own program.
This is a great course for leaders who want to improve or expand on their program’s operations, as well as students looking to become child care leaders in BC.
There are two components: 4 hours of instructor-led time via Zoom, and 2 hours of self-guided time (to watch videos and complete quizzes prior to the instructor-led portion). Learners are credited with 6 Pro-D hours towards ECE certification.
As part of the course, students also receive a three-month subscription to our WCCRC Administration & Management for Child Care Knowledge Base, including valuable tools and forms to use in their program.
Students must use a laptop or desktop computer to take this course; it is not possible to use a smartphone for this work.
