| Bio |
I have recently changed my name to Saza Rose (formerly, Lindsay Lichty). This is a part of my ongoing work to live in my skin, to connect with my bones, and to lead with my heart.
I have been a grateful visitor on unsurrendered lək̓ʷəŋən territories since 2014. I live here with my partner, and our two dogs. I am grateful to live near Oak meadows, and the salty Ocean.
I was born on the territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. My mother is Salvadoran, having immigrated to Canada with her family at the age of 17. My father is a fourth-generation Canadian, his ancestors settled in Waterloo, Ontario in the 1870s from Alsace, France.
I am an instructor of Early Learning and Care at Camosun College. I am grateful for the opportunity to work closely with inspired colleagues, and to collaborate with students and faculty to imagine more-just worlds.
